I don't normally photograph someone elses art and call it mine. I'd call that documentation. In this case
I found myself enthralled with the details of an aluminum sculpture by Peter Swendenborg and I do believe that I have created a whole different piece of art work with this image. Abstract for sure, the tonal range is wide and the depth pulls you into the triangular tunnel. The fabric, real and reflected, offsets the sharpness of the metal edges. I like this combination alot. Please see a second image below.

This second image, while having similar tones, has a different feel to it. The reflections create a point
that you are visually drawn into. The blackness is flat and has no detail at all. It won't draw you away from the
main subject, the point where all the angles come together. Thank You and please comment or critique below.

wonderful shot imo its perfect nothing to critique good job!

now i have and im sure i will deal with this same type of thing again, shooting someone else's art it can be a fine line but every eye is different. Here you did everything from your perspective and created something completely different, a beautiful piece of art.

forgot the 2nd piece i was soo enthralled with the 1st lol

The 1st shot was very complex imo with the 2nd you simplified it, it feels more elegant.
